Highlights of the News

If you still have to follow these rules, why bother vaccinating then?

ITEM 1: Kane reported, "Dan Bongino to replace Rush Limbaugh…"

The story said, "Bongino is a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent turned conservative pundit and investor in digital properties including Parler and Rumble. He has previously served as a fill-in host at WMAL Washington and WBAL Baltimore and multiple syndicated talkers including Sean Hannity.

"An official announcement should be forthcoming by early next week."

Congratulations. If he can keep half that audience, he will succeed. After all, someone had to replace Wally Pipp. I wonder whatever happened to that guy.

ITEM 2: The Washington Free Beacon reported, "A judge struck down Boulder, Colorado's ban on the possession of AR-15s and magazines holding more than 10 rounds on Monday.

"Colorado state judge Andrew Hartman ruled the city's gun ban violated the state's pre-emption law, which prevents localities from imposing gun regulations above and beyond state law. Judge Hartman's ruling declares the ordinance invalid and immediately bars the city from enforcing the ban."

There is a federal pre-emption law on guns.

It is called the Second Amendment.

ITEM 3: Forbes reported, "Americans are looking forward to another round of stimulus checks and gun shops are looking forward to another round of stimulus stockpiling.

"As the House takes its final vote Wednesday on the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill, many Americans are looking forward to spending their $1,400 stimulus checks at the gun store."

That's what a stimulus does. It gets people to buy things.

Look for drug overdoses to spike, too,

ITEM 4: Via Matt Margolis, Erik Wemple of the Washington Post named and shamed the source of its Fake News about President Trump's phone call to Georgia.

Wemple wrote, "The Washington Post reported on the substance of Trump’s December 23 call in January, describing him saying that [Georgia election investigator Frances] Watson should ‘find the fraud’ and that she would be a ‘national hero,’ based on an account from Jordan Fuchs, the deputy secretary of state, whom Watson briefed on his comments."

This is rare and appreciated, but the source is outside Washington and a Republican appointee. Don't expect the Post to out its sources for all its DC-based Fake News about Donald Trump.

ITEM 5: Matt Margolis also reported, "A judge in Michigan has vindicated President Trump by ruling that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a Democrat, broke state law when she unilaterally changed election rules concerning absentee balloting in the 2020 election. This ruling legitimizes a key claim made by the Trump legal team in its challenges to the 2020 election.

"A major change imposed by Benson was loosening the signature verification requirement for absentee ballots. Michigan Court of Claims Chief Judge Christopher Murray ruled that this change violated Michigan Administrative Procedures Act."

When Democrats lose, they change the rules. In this case, they did it midstream.

What is the penalty, though?

Without consequences, they will just do it again.

ITEM 6: 21 state attorneys general wrote Yellen threatening legal action over a ban on state tax cuts included in the new stimulus.

The letter said, "Absent a more sensible interpretation from your department, this provision would amount to an unprecedented and unconstitutional intrusion on the separate sovereignty of the States through federal usurpation of essentially one-half of the State’s fiscal ledgers.

"We ask that you confirm that the American Rescue Plan Act does not prohibit States from generally providing tax relief through the kinds of measures listed and discussed above and other, similar measures, but at most precludes express use of the funds provided under the Act for direct tax cuts rather than for the purposes specified by the Act."

We are the United States of America, not America Divided into States.

ITEM 7: Glamour magazine reported, "Leyna Bloom Is the First Trans Woman of Color in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition."

Ah, but is she left-handed? If not, SI needs another cup of coffee because it is not woke enough.

ITEM 8: Chairman Xi will meet with his puppet in Alaska.

Puppets often appear to be at odds with the man who pulls their strings.

This is done to give the audience the illusion of independence.

ITEM 9Grégoire Canlorbe of the Gatestone Institute wrote, "We see Xi's new demands in his intransigent position going into Thursday's meeting in Anchorage. China's top diplomat, Yang Jiechi, and his subordinate, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, look as if they are going to Alaska not to engage in meaningful discussion, but to lecture Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and to dictate the terms of the relationship going forward.

"Yang's unpleasant February 5 telephone call with Blinken is a warning of Xi Jinping's new no-compromise attitude.

"If the disease in fact escaped from that lab, as new evidence suggests, the coronavirus is almost certainly a biological weapon."

The post suggests Xi won World War 3 through the Wuhan Flu. It has been an invisible war in which Red China bought off Corporate America and the politicians that enable them. Some say Donald Trump was the world's last hope. I say not, but the final battle will not be pleasant.

Besides, who said Donald Trump was through?

ITEM 10: Kurt Schlichter wrote, "Our Military Suffers Yet Another Defeat… This Time to Tucker Carlson."

The American military has become a joke. A big, expensive, politically correct joke.

ITEM 11Lifezette reported, "Ohio state Rep. Mike Loychik (R) introduced a new bill this week to rename Mosquito Lake State Park after former President Donald Trump on Saturday.

"Loychik took to Twitter on Saturday night to announce his proposal, which has been drawing attention from both sides of the political aisle."

Mosquito Lake?

Rename Lake Erie.

ITEM 12CBS reported, "When Southern California theme parks such as Disneyland, Universal Studios and Magic Mountain reopen as early as April, they will likely have to take steps to ensure that screaming on rides doesn’t lead to the spread of COVID-19.

"The California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA), a trade group which represents theme parks statewide, is backing a plan that would tamp down on the effects that shouting and yelling on rides, such as rollercoasters, could have in spreading the virus."

No screaming?

Why?

Are they afraid you will wake the virus up?

Disneyland. The unhappiest place on Earth.

ITEM 13: Marvel reveals its first gay Captain America.

But is he left-handed?

I won't bother with the link because who really cares? It is just a sign that they ran out of ideas and are just rebranding old characters as gay, black, female, or sometimes all 3.

George Hamilton IV spoofed this 40 years ago in Zorro, the Gay Blade.

ITEM 14: Powerline reported, "The U.S. military is pushing woke, social justice leftism. Given the importance of this push, its otherwise bizarre attack on Tucker Carlson is not difficult to understand.

"Let’s step back for a moment. The left has been marching through America’s institutions for decades. The media was in the vanguard. Universities were captured easily. Corporations fell without much resistance.

"The military is a tougher nut to crack, but its leaders are drawn from a pool not that different from those who run universities and corporations, and these leaders crave approval from the same elites. Universities sometimes select presidents from the military brass. Ex-generals run the University of South Carolina and Kansas State. Until recently, an ex-admiral ran the University of Texas. There is no disconnect."

A reader has warned me for years about this development.

His reply to this post was "The military realized they could do better with the rising rather than the setting sun. However the absolute control of major  weapons eliminates any chance of rebellion or even token resistance. This is the real goal of woking the military. Once this is achieved the US will have lost any definable reason to exist."

Support for the military has cratered among conservatives. Perhaps a little late but better than never.

ITEM 15: You know what shocked me?

He flew commercial.

Doesn't a climate change czar get his own plane? Air Force 23, or something like that.

ITEM 16: John Tamny reported, "The Berenstain Bears Could Curb the 'Stimulus' Crowd's Enthusiasm."

His point is that the stimulus will lead to inflation, which is the devaluation of the dollar.

But he used the example of a book about Sister Bear getting a dollar from the Tooth Fairy. That was a poor choice to criticize the stimulus because that dollar was a stimulus to get the girl over losing a tooth.

ITEM 17: Women's wear just got literal. She ain't heavy. She's my cover.

ITEM 18: Kane reported, "The IRS and Treasury Department will postpone the April 15 deadline to May 17, the agencies announced Wednesday."

Delaying the execution.

I am wondering by what authority they do this.
