“Leggett Legacy Forward” Event Helps Underrepresented County Students

“Leggett Legacy Forward” is an event to raise money to help underrepresented County students go to college through the Achieving College Excellence and Success program, a partnership of Montgomery College, the Montgomery County Public Schools, and the Universities at Shady Grove. Sponsored by County Executive Ike Leggett and Mrs. Catherine Leggett, the event will be held at The Music Center at Strathmore on September 23. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., the program will begin at 4 p.m. Admission is free, though advance registration is required.

Those unable to attend may show support with a donation to The Ike and Catherine Leggett Scholarship through the Montgomery College Foundation and/or donate through the Universities of Shady Grove Foundation.
